Welcome to the blogging page for Sequoia Payroll Solutions.  In this opening blog, I wanted to introduce myself as Josh Appling.  I am the founder and owner of Sequoia Payroll Solutions.  Where did we come up with the name Sequoia Payroll Solutions?  It’s a little strange to mix the name of the worlds largest living thing, and something like payroll.  So let me tell you all about it. When my wife and I started this company, we were at a loss for a name….

We were at a time in our lives where we were missing California, and especially the beautiful nature found there.  I was rasied just a few hours from Sequoia national park, home of the largest trees in the world.  It is nothing less than a miracle for these trees to grow.  In order for the Majestic redwood to grow from just a tiny seed into an awe inspiring creation all the conditions have to be just right.
